From 'guyliner' to American delicacies like Uncrustables, Kathy Griffin, Mike Posner and more tell us what they'd get Will and Kate.

What kind of wedding gift do you give the royal couple who has everything?
The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is on Friday (April 29), so MTV News reached out to some of our favorite Hollywood celebrities — from Ke$ha to Adam Lambert. Fortunately, they had some solid ideas!
"I haven't met them, so it would be kind of awkward," the "Tik Tok" singer admitted to MTV News. "I might paint them something. Maybe I'll paint them a guitar."
Like Ke$ha, other celebs had suggestions that were from the heart, even if they weren't the most practical.
"I will go out on a limb and say these two individuals maybe haven't had Uncrustables before in their life. I would get them a strawberry Uncrustable," Mike Posner said about the pastry.
David Cook followed up on the all-American food idea. "I feel like they have everything except maybe they probably don't have an Applebee's gift card. I'll go [with an] Applebee's gift card," the "American Idol" alum said.
Other stars said they'd gift the British prince and soon-to-be-princess with an item they were personally best known for.
"I'd probably buy William some eyeliner," Lambert said. "He could do that, he could rock that look. I think."
Ne-Yo was more empathetic, saying he would give gifts that could help shield them from photographers and blend in with everyday people. "Three years' supply of sunglasses. Yeah, put them on. A bunch of baseball caps, throw those on, and try to move around like regular people," the singer said. "I can't imagine what it would be like having to live under that big of a magnifying glass your whole life ... and fake mustaches, that's what I'd give them."
Brooke Burke went the more traditional route, saying she would get Will and Kate a journal to record the big event. "I would ask them to really take the time to write down thoughts and phrases and wishes," Burke said. "And not really to lose sight of how they feel about each other now and to really hold on to that feeling."
Kathy Griffin had good intentions but the comedian couldn't resist a puke joke.
"If I had to get the royal couple a gift, I would get them the Royal Couple Vomit Bag, which someone sent me a photo of," Griffin told us. "So you can actually buy vomit bags with their image on it, and I think that that is an honor and I hope that they see it as such."
What would you give to William and Kate? Share your ideas in the comments section!

Having opted to skip a planned ski trip to stay home over the holidays, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, joined fellow British Royals for an early Christmas Day church service in King's Lynn, England on Sunday (December 25).
The couple was joined by Prince Harry, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Princess Eugenie, as the well-dressed group walked alongside one another upon exiting Sandringham Church.
While the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh traditionally lead the royals in attending the service, this year took a turn from the norm due to the fact that Prince Philip spent Christmas Eve in Papworth Hospital after having cardiac surgery to fit a stent in his coronary artery.
As for Will and Kate's decision to forego their previously scheduled ski getaway, a source told press, "The palace thinks it would send a bad message to be away during this time."

How does Lady Gaga feel about making the short list for the Best Original Song race at the Oscars? Well, she's pretty excited.
"Just heard my duet 'Hello, Hello' with Elton [John] is up for nomination at the Oscars! 'Gnomeo & Juliet' is such a beautiful film," she wrote on Twitter. "I'm so happy!!"
On Monday, it was announced that the Gaga/Elton duet is one of the 39 tracks vying for a nomination. will.i.am's "Rio" track, "Hot Wings," Mary J. Blige's "The Living Proof" from "The Help," and Zooey Deschanel's "Winnie the Pooh" track, "So Long," along with multiple tracks from "The Muppets," are also in the running. The final nominations will be announced January 24, and the awards show is slated to take place February 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
Gaga is celebrating her latest achievement in Japan, where she will spend the holidays. "Well, I'll be in Japan right up until Christmas Day," she recently told MTV News. "So I'll be eating with all my Japanese Little Monsters. I like shabu shabu [a type of Japanese hotpot]."
Since touching down, Mother Monster has been keeping her fans up-to-date on what she's been up to on Twitter. "Sipping tea in Japan with Haus. Feeling so grateful," she wrote. "We sold about 1 million albums a month worldwide since the release of BORN THIS WAY."
The busy holiday season caps off an even busier year for Lady Gaga, who happened to be MTV News' Top Newsmaker of 2011. She tirelessly released singles, videos, personas and a chart-topping album (Born This Way) and scooped up awards at seemingly every show from the Grammys to the VMAs. She was also #5 on our list of Best Artists of 2011, and her disco empowerment track "Born This Way" snagged the #5 spot on the Best Songs of 2011 list as well.

Happy birthday, Britney Spears!
The pop superstar celebrates her 30th b-day on Friday (December 2), and in addition to counting down her most iconic clips during the fan-voted Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years, MTV News also got some celebrity pals and Brit's most famous fans to wish the princess of pop a very happy birthday.
"Yo, Britney, happy birthday!" Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta said. "You're still a babe at 30!"
Jason Derülo noted the singer's influence on pop culture. "Happy birthday, Britney!" he said. "Loved watching you growing up. You made a difference in music, and you made a difference in my life."
Wilmer Valderrama mirrored Derülo's comments about Spears' unwavering pop-star status. "If there's someone that influenced a generation in every aspect of the word, I'd say it's Britney Spears," he said. "Happy birthday, sweetheart!"
"Happy birthday, Britney!" Kris Allen said. "Happy 30th! That's awesome!"
Heidi Klum recalled one of Spears' most memorable opening lines: "Happy birthday! It's Britney, bitch, always!"
Britney's legacy includes hits like "Toxic," "I'm a Slave 4 U," " ... Baby One More Time" and "Till The World Ends" — to name just a few — and 13-year-old "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter has been there all along. "Happy birthday, Britney! I love your music. I've been a fan forever. You're amazing."
Nick Cannon joked, "Britney, you're 30, girl. I see. You get your grown woman on!"
"Jersey Shore" star Ronnie had this message: "What's up, Britney? God bless you. You're doing great. Happy 30th birthday!"
"Shore" co-star and sometimes Femme Fatale tourmate Pauly D had this Twitter message for Brit: "Happy Birthday To My Girl @britneyspears !!!" he wrote. "I Luv Birthdays !!!"
But the Twitter love didn't end there: Justin Bieber RSVP'd to the Britney birthday party with this tweet: "Happy birthday shoutout to my friend @britneyspears."
"Sendin b-day love to @britneyspears :) cheers to another great year!!!" Miley Cyrus tweeted. "Let's make @britneyspears day & show some love! Let's trend #HappyBdayBritney."
Ellen DeGeneres had a funny tweet for Spears on her birthday: "I can't believe Britney is turning thritney. I mean thirty. Happy birthday @BritneySpears!"

A lucky audience got a glimpse at director's nearly seven-minute clip, in which Bane proves as fearsome as Batman fans have hoped.

LOS ANGELES — If you happened to be in or around the IMAX theater at Universal City Walk Thursday night, there's a decent chance you may have been privy to the collective fangasm (some shock and awe) generated by the lucky audience invited to screen the prologue for Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises."
Nolan was on hand himself to introduce the nearly seven-minute clip, which he described as, basically, the opening sequence, with a few out-of-order bonus shots thrown in at the end. The director also emphasized his love for IMAX technology, explaining that even though it was probably developed before he was born, it is "far and away the best imaging format created," and it's one that allows fans to experience the grandeur of old Hollywood films, which Nolan said is "slowly being chipped away." At the special screening, he encouraged fans to seek out official IMAX screens for a fully immersive experience when "Rises" opens next summer, but not to inquire about the plot of the film.
"I've barely started to edit, so don't ask me about the ending," he joked just before the lights in the theater dimmed.
Check out "The Dark Knight Rises" Viral Survival Guide!
In the interest of preserving the mystery of the movie, Warner Bros. politely asked journalists in attendance to refrain from giving blow-by-blow reactions, a request MTV News is happy to heed. What we can say is that the action in the opening sequence occurs mostly on a plane and that it features several high-flying, mind-blowing special effects of the practical, not the CG, variety. The sequence seems to pick up right where "The Dark Knight" leaves off — Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent's funeral — and, most important, features one of the more memorable character introductions we've seen of late as viewers got the first look at Tom Hardy in action as Bane, complete with creepy leather face mask.
There are government agents, military personnel and civilians involved in the setup, but it's all eyes on Bane. And if what we see him say and do in the first few minutes is representative of his villainous arc in the full-length feature, it's clear that Nolan is venturing into more ominous territory in "Rises." Where Heath Ledger's unforgettable Joker was dark, twisted and almost whimsically crazy, Hardy's Bane is a horrific, maniacal force. That's apparent whenever the camera locks onto his eyes or when he speaks for the first time, revealing a garbled, aggressive German accent. Bane will no doubt prove a formidable force to be reckoned with, and we can't help but anticipate his first meeting with Batman.
Speaking of Batman, the caped crusader, played of course by Christian Bale, makes his first appearance in a few quick clips at the very end, along with new additions Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and cop John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

In the nearly 14-minute-long clip, Gaga dances through her emotions on her way to fame.
By Jocelyn Vena
Clocking in at nearly 14 minutes, Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night" video, directed by the Mother Monster herself, is a music video within a short film.
Gaga teased earlier that the clip would be about the worst day of her life, and it certainly touches on some nefarious stuff. With references to everything from "Fame" and "Black Swan" to "The Bell Jar," the video is a sweeping look into Gaga's psyche.
The video opens with Gaga being rolled through a clinic. As her monologue wraps up, a pale, bruised Gaga is in bed, being cared for by the same nurse who delivered her, still recovering from an unknown procedure (the only clue to what surgery Gaga may have gotten is when she's told "no intimacy for two weeks"). With tears streaming down her face, Gaga tells the nurse (who refers to her as "morphine princess"), "I'm gonna be a star. You know why? Because I have nothing left to lose."
As the camera pulls back, the other patients and nurses in the room go about their lives and a piano plays while a mysterious laugh acts as the soundtrack to the dramatic, poignant scene.
Next, the viewer is taken to the stage, where a glamorous ballerina Gaga is performing. Then, she's back at her apartment, being tucked into bed by a long-haired man. Gaga lies topless in her apartment and gets a call from her director, arguing, "But, I'm an artist. What do you mean give up?"
She begins destroying her apartment manically. Next, she's dying her hair and singing the opening lines of "Marry the Night" acoustically. "You may say I lost everything," Gaga says in a voice-over, as she's seen decked out in a bedazzled denim outfit and heels, joking, "But I still had my BeDazzler and I had a lot of patches, shiny ones from M&J Trimming, so I wreaked havoc on some old denim. And I did what any girl would do — I did it all over again." (It should be noted that Gaga is very reminiscent of "Desperately Seeking Susan"-era Madonna in this scene.)
Next, a full moon shines down on Gaga, who is on the hood of a car wearing all-black pleather. She's sliding into the car using the sunroof when the song finally kicks in at about nine minutes in. The car explodes and Gaga is outside proudly claiming that she'll marry the night as she dances around.
Now she's at a dance studio, doing her best "Fame" routine, rolling around and stretching, clearly reinventing herself from the ballerina she once was to a pop backup dancer.
As she dances in the studio and on the street, the video also cuts to Gaga naked in a bathtub at her apartment. The video focuses the most on Gaga's dancing, with a majority of the actual music-video portion featuring several big dance numbers. As she dances on the street, the moments leading up to her breakdown are played out: She's fighting, she's setting cars on fire, she's naked, she's dancing. As the video comes to a close, a message handwritten on Gaga's hand is revealed, reading, "Interscope Records; Hollywood, CA; 4 p.m."
Whatever Gaga did to reinvent herself seemed to work. She became a pop star. The final shot is Gaga, decked out on couture, surrounded by flames in a spacey outfit before it all goes black.
"Marry the Night" is the latest single from Gaga's Grammy-nominated Born This Way album. It was filmed in New York City in October and marks the first time Gaga has directed a video solo. While the clip is an homage to her pre-fame roots, the song is also a tribute to the Big Apple.
What did you think of Gaga's latest? Let us know in the comments!

Danny Elfman reportedly has scheduling issues as he's currently also working on 'Dark Shadows' and 'Men in Black 3.'

Danny Elfman, the man behind the iconic scores for most of Tim Burton's films, may not be heading to Panem.
The Academy Award-nominated composer has reportedly dropped out of "The Hunger Games," according to Variety. Elfman is said to have left the production for scheduling reasons, as he is currently working on the music for "Dark Shadows," and "Men in Black 3."
Lionsgate declined to comment, but a source close to the production confirmed Elfman's departure due to scheduling conflict with MTV News.
James Newton Howard, the composer responsible for dozens of famous scores, including "Batman Begins," has reportedly taken the reins from Elfman in what was described as a smooth transition. The change will have no effect on the post-production and release schedules for the film. Newton Howard has scored an impressive eight Academy Award nominations over the years for films that include "Defiance, "Michael Clayton" and "The Village."
Elfman was set to collaborate on the adaptation of Suzanne Collins' young-adult novel with T-Bone Burnett, the songwriter who won an Oscar for his work on 2009's "Crazy Heart." Burnett will reportedly remain on the production as the film's executive music producer. Burnett had previously raved to MTV News about working with Elfman on the project, telling us in August of his collaborator, "He's got an incredible space he's put together. It's the most incredible studio I've ever seen and he's got drums and marimbas and a cimbalom — just crazy instruments everywhere. We're just going to go over there and rock out. I think we're just going to play together. We're going to do it together."
Howard, meanwhile, has more than a full plate of upcoming projects. Among his future musical endeavors are two of next year's biggest films: "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "The Bourne Legacy."
"The Hunger Games" is set for release on March 23, 2012, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, with Gary Ross directing.

From Girls to Beyoncé (and just about everyone in between), Bigger Than the Sound takes a look at the year's best albums.
By James Montgomery
In 2011, we all seemingly discovered dubstep and learned how to pronounce "Bon Iver." We marveled at the success of Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna, took the leap with Beyoncé and got royal with Jay-Z and Kanye. We said hello to bright new stars like Frank Ocean and the Weeknd and watched former breakouts Florence Welch and Drake take the next steps in their careers. Oh, and pretty much all of us bought Lady Gaga's Born This Way, or at least debated its pricing schemes.
Yes, it's been a pretty eventful 12 months, and now, it's time to take a look back with my picks for the Best Albums of 2011. Rock, hip-hop, pop and electronic records — from artists big and small — that managed to stick with me through the entire year. Looking at it now, there are at least a half-dozen other albums I could've included — it really was that big of a year.
What's your favorite album of 2011? Tell us on Facebook!
That said, I'm sure I left a few off my list, so I'm counting on you to remind me of anything I might have missed. Let me know in the comments below, and now, let's get right to my Best of 2011 list. These are my favorite albums, from a fascinating year in music.
20. Beyoncé, 4
An artfully anachronistic album — in that it takes its cues from Fela Kuti and Earth, Wind and Fire instead of, you know, David Guetta — it's little wonder 4 confounded a large portion of the record-buying public when it was released this summer. But given time, most (myself included) have come to love its classy flourishes and classically influenced roots. From big-boned ballads to weirdo world-music jams, 4 is clearly the disc on which Beyoncé makes her bid for artistic credibility. Sadly, it just took us all a while to realize it.
Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death, but the late singer's former dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein is under investigation by the Medical Board of California for his past treatment of his famous patient.
Klein has been accused - by Murray and others - of fueling MJ's addiction to prescription painkillers, and has been subpoenaed by the Board for questioning.
He just posted a letter on Facebook, apparently sent from his ex-lawyer, showing that officials are probing allegations that Klein over-prescribed Demerol.
The Board reportedly wants to grill Klein about the possibility that he self-prescribed narcotics, used false names on narcotics prescriptions, illegally handed out samples of dangerous drugs to his famous patients such as Michael Jackson.
By doing so, Klein, who has multiple sclerosis, may have committed gross negligence.
Also rumored to be the biological father of Prince and Paris Jackson, Klein has always strongly denied any wrongdoing and is not accused of any criminal conduct.
Time will tell if that changes and/or if the board takes any disciplinary action.
Courtney Love may be estranged from her own daughter, but she says she's been giving motherly guidance to another young lady: Lindsay Lohan. The Hole singer, who claims to be drug-free since 2005, tells Details that she's been helping Lohan down the path to sobriety.
Movie hits half-billion mark in less than two weeks.
By Gil Kaufman
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" looks to dominate the box office for a good long time. After two weeks atop the list of top-grossing movies, the penultimate film in the vampires and werewolves epic has already raked in more than $508 million worldwide.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is the ninth film this year to push past the half-billion mark globally, hitting the mark in just 12 days of release. So far, the movie has grossed $223.4 million in North America and $285 million internationally, for a grand total of $508.4 million.
"We couldn't be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years," said Summit Entertainment co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger in a statement. "Thank you to all involved with the films from the actors, filmmakers and Stephenie Meyer to the most important group of all, the global fan base that continues to drive a desire for more Edward, Jacob and Bella."
MTV News asked experts how long this domination can go on, especially since the only competition this weekend is the NC-17-rated full-frontal indie flick "Shame."
"It'll be close between ['Breaking Dawn - Part 1'] and 'The Muppets,' because ['The Muppets'] has much better word of mouth," said Boxoffice.com's Phil Contrino, noting that it was too soon to say which would come out on top. He also predicted that the movie should finish its domestic run in the $300 million range and stay near the top until such holiday blockbusters as "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Mission Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" on December 21.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on November 16, 2012.
