Before either one took to the stage at the VMAs last night, Kanye West and Taylor Swift reportedly met one-on-one backstage and called a truce, according to Us Weekly.
"Kanye got word she was going to do the song about him and wanted to talk it out," the insider explains. The duo -- West infamously ambushed Swift onstage at last year's VMAs -- met privately in Swift's dressing room.
"Taylor felt bad. They talked and everything is good between them now," the source continues of their backstage chat. "But they promised to keep what they spoke about between them."
I hope this is true. Kanye was completely in the wrong last year, and maybe he's learned a lesson about just how far he can go with his antics, but at some point, you have to just Let It Go.
I thought Taylor actually went very easy on Kanye in her song. What did you think?
